Patrick and Nicky's mother writes book

Patrick's mother, Irene Jones, has just had her first book published;

Sam's Journey by Seaglass Press.

It is a brave and honest story, told through the eyes of her dog, Sam and recounts his life and the life and times of Blackwood during the years 2002-2004 documenting the protests against the road, the destruction of 3,000 trees to make way for a £56m road and the life and loves of the Jones family. At times funny, angry and ultimately tragic this book deserves a wide audience as it bears witness to an indelible scar in the Sirhowy Valley's history.
